My 
Story

My name is Darrah, an event production artist. However, I didn't start out my career planning parties. I have always been an artist. I pursued multiple degrees in visual arts, graphic design, digital marketing, and user experience design and for years, I explored careers in every one of these field. I discovered an interesting passion, though, while working as an event assistant through college. I always loved the idea of planning parties (way more than attending parties!), and while exploring this world, I discovered how vital art was to event planning. 

As I gained experience and started taking risks, planning bigger and more unique events, I noticed how important artistic vision is... and how so many others were missing that special magic I was trying to provide.

No matter if it's a simple, intimate affair or the most important day of a guests life, I treat every project that I produce today with that same artistic eye and attention to detail.

After ten years, I am most known for my immersive and multi-faceted events, weaving that creativity into every special touch. With a background in so many artistic fields, I bring a unique set of skills in craftsmanship, marketing, and creating in so many different ways. As I learned so many years ago, events are an art, except we create not with paint, but with memories, personality, aesthetics and experience.

How it works

Planning events can be difficult, so why not let someone else do it for you? Darrah by Design takes the stress out of planning and producing your event in  a few easy steps.

1. Cafe Consultation 

Step One: Let's chat about your vision and then see how we can make it into a reality. To make planning as stress-free as possible, I love to meet over coffee. Drinks are on the house and there's no pressure to book.

2. Crafting a Curated Plan

You've booked, congrats! Next, I will create a customized plan to fit your vision and budget. With a long list of trusted and talented vendors, and an artistic eye, I work with you to plan the event you imagined.

3. Day-Of Coordination 

The day of your event, I will be onsite to set up and tear down, coordinate with vendors, the venue, and staff to ensure all day-of logistics are completed to standard. You can relax and do what is most important - enjoy your occasion.
